The Church At Woodmoor and the Tri-Lakes Lions Club present Pickin’ on the Divide, the annual family music festival Saturday August 18th, at Limbach Park in downtown Monument. Colorado Bluegrass bands will be performing though out the day from 1 pm until 6 pm featuring Tenderfoot Bluegrass Band, Ashtonz, WireWood Station, Flying W Wranglers, & Grass It Up! Those who would like to participate by carving a tile prior to the iron pour event may do so at one of our Instructional Workshops*, ArtHop Events or at the Fourth of July Celebration. The workshops are free and tools will be supplied. Or purchase a tile and carve the tile at home. With each purchase of a tile participants will receive a ticket for entrance into the Cameo Raffle
Medallion tiles are priced at $20 each.
4" square tiles are priced at $45. each
6" square tiles are priced at $65 each.
Hand / Portrait Impression Cast are priced at $100 each.

With the start of construction scheduled to begin this fall, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is inviting the public to learn more about the Interstate 25 South Gap project – including expected construction impacts ¬– at two open houses this month:
Monday, Aug. 20: El Paso County
Monument Academy, 1150 Village Ridge Point in Monument
Wednesday, Aug. 22: Douglas County
Douglas County Fairgrounds, 500 Fairgrounds Road in Castle Rock
Both opportunities are open-house style events ¬— there will not be a formal presentation. Attendees can visit any time between 5 and 7 p.m. to talk one-on-one with project experts. There will be multiple display boards explaining the project and plenty of staff available to answer questions.

Enjoy summer evenings under the big screen. This summer the Town of Monument and U.S. Taekwondo Center will present outdoor movie nights. These are free to the public and will take place in Jackson Creek at the Monument Marketplace Clocktower (between Walmart & Home Depot) and the Tri-Lakes YMCA. Everyone is invited to bring chairs and blankets to enjoy a movie under the stars. Movies will begin at dark (approx 8:30).
