The Monument Police Department would like to invite members of the community to attend an Active Threats and Personal Safety class. While Monument is still a safe place to live and work, knowing how to act in a crisis before the incident occurs will greatly increase your chances of survival. This class, presented by members of the Police Department, will cover best practices on how to survive an active shooter/active threat type situation, and basic personal safety habits and strategies you can use to help you and your family stay safe at home and when out in the community.
Seating is limited so a reservation is required. To reserve your seat please call the Monument Police Department at (719) 481-3253 between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. This class is open to anyone 16 years and older.
Anyone with questions about the class may call Chief Jake Shirk at (719) 481-3253.
