The Comprehensive Plan is intended to be a guiding document for the future of the Town. It is utilized to guide future land uses as well as plan future phases of transportation and infrastructure systems.

All zoning changes and development applications are reviewed for consistency with the Comprehensive Plan to ensure the Town continues to develop in a manner the community desires.

Zoning & Subdivision Ordinances

Viewing the Code of Ordinances

The Town of Monument's Code of Ordinances can be found on Municode. Subdivision Regulations are explained in Chapter 18 of the Code.

The Town of Monument Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances are subject to continual change. While every attempt is made to keep this online version current, it should be used for reference only.

The most recent Ordinances amending the Town of Monument Code may be found in the Office of the Town Clerk. The Online version of the Municipal Code is updated twice annually following the codification of recent Town Ordinances. This service usually takes 6 to 7 months.
