4th of July Spot Reservation Rules
Spectators are prohibited from saving a parade viewing spot before Sunday, 7:00 PM on July 3rd.
This includes:
- Staking tent spikes into the ground. Temporary tents can be secured with sandbags.
- Stretching out blankets on grass.
- Setting up chairs.
Any articles placed out prior to 7:00 PM on Sunday the 3rd will be considered abandoned property and could be removed.
Articles placed on Town grass prior to the parade damages the grass and flowers. The use of tent spikes has damaged Town irrigation
lines that has cost the Town thousands of dollars in repairs each year.
It is unlawful to cut, mark, remove, break or climb upon, or in any way injure, damage or deface the trees, shrubs, plants, turf,
or any of the buildings, fences, bridges, or in any other way injure or impair the natural beauty or usefulness of any park or
recreation area. (Prior code § 14-2-4)
