[ARCHIVED] ArtSites Committee

Art sites committee

The Town of Monument  has taken on management of the ArtSites program, (formerly managed by Tri-Lakes Views). ArtSites is a community art program that manages a small collection of permanent sculpture pieces throughout Monument and rotates a new collection of sculptures annually through a juried selection process. We are in need of committee members from our community. The ArtSites committee will consist of 1 – 2 Town Council members and 3-4 members of the public, with 2 members of the former Tri-Lakes Views, for a total of 7 committee members. Committee members will primarily be responsible for selection of art during the spring Call for Entries. Certain other administrative decisions may be brought to the committee throughout the year. The expected term for a committee member from the public will be 2 years. The ArtSites committee will meet approximately 6 times a year. Residents of zip code 80132 and students or employees of Lewis-Palmer School District are invited to apply.  Interested parties are asked to submit a short letter outlining their interest in the program and any relevant experience. Please submit applications to Cassie Olgren at colgren@tomgov.com or call Cassie at 719-325-9793 with any questions.
