The Town of Monument regrets the lack of communication with the residents of Gleneagle regarding last night's meeting about a discussion concerning annexation.
The Town of Monument and the Monument Fire District's intent was to discuss the pros and cons of the potential annexation, gauge interest in moving forward, and allow the residents to express their opinions on their options.
The only way that the Gleneagle community can be annexed into the Town is for the residents to request that annexation from the Town of Monument.
Although the negative comments were misdirected towards the Mayor, his involvement in this project was minimal.
We fully apologize for any misinterpretations that were taken from the meeting last night.
