There have been requests for and questions about the report issued by CIRSA regarding complaints against Town Manager Chris Lowe.
To be clear, this was an independent investigation done by an outside attorney (not CIRSA attorney) who was retained by CIRSA at the Town Board’s request to conduct this investigation.
The Board requested the report be presented as soon as it was available. The investigator gave the report to CIRSA this week and they were trying to present it. This was part of last nights special board meeting that was called. We had two CIRSA attorney’s present, to present the report to the Board. Due to the fact we did not have a quorum because Trustees Bornstein, Clark and Coopman did not come to the meeting, the report could not be presented.
The Town Staff has NO access to this report or knowledge of what is in this report. It is an independent investigation and will only be presented to the Mayor and Board of Trustees. We were hopeful to have the report presented at Monday nights regular meeting on May 21st; however, since the CIRSA attorneys were here twice this week to present to the Board and could not, do to a lack of a quorum, they are not available to be at Monday night’s meeting. The best we can hope for is either a special meeting to convene, where all the Trustees can/will attend to hear the report, or at the next regularly scheduled Board of Trustees meeting, which would be Monday, June 4th, 2018, pending the availability of the CIRSA attorneys to present the report.
