[ARCHIVED] Town of Monument Announces New Town Manager

The Town of Monument Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the appointment of Mike Foreman as Town Manager, effective April 12, 2019.  Mr. Foreman will be signing his employment contract on Friday, April 5, 2019 at 8:00 am at Monument Town Hall, 645 Beacon Lite Road. 

Mayor Pro Tem Elliot says “Mr. Foreman brings demonstrable experience and leadership to Monument and these are exceptional qualities we will all benefit from as they are upheld by someone with integrity and a genuine interest in our community,” Foreman has served as Interim Town Manager since December 2018.  “Mr. Foreman has done an excellent job as Interim Town Manager and deserves this position. He was an excellent leader through the recent storm that we had and he shown that he has all the ability to run this town and help us grow to be the best that we can be.” says Trustee Romanello.

Foreman began his career in city management with the City of Grand Prairie, Texas, where he served as the Assistant to the City Manager. He is an executive manager with over 30 years’ experience in varying aspects of local government. “It is an honor to be chosen as the Town Manager for this wonderful town. During my time here I have met some amazing citizens and employees who love this community and want to be involved in creating an incredible future for our community. I look forward to being part of the leadership team that will direct the future growth and work with our citizens.” says Foreman.  He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington, with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington. He is a member of the Colorado City and County Manager’s Association and International City/County Managers Association. He has three kids; Megan, Michael, and Luke. In his spare time, he enjoys travelling around Colorado and Wyoming photographing local wildlife.
