Mail in ballots to reduce risk of expose to COVID-19

election 2020

The Town of Monument highly encourages voters to mail in their voted ballots to reduce the risk of exposure to the coronavirus (COVID-19).  Ballots must be received by 7:00 PM on April 7. Monument Postmaster Renee Pshigoda recommends mailing ballots no later than April 3 to ensure arrival by Election day. Ballots may also be deposited in the permanent mail ballot receptacle located in the parking lot of Town Hall (645 Beacon Lite Road). If you are a registered voter in the Town of Monument and have not received your ballot, or if you are in need of a replacement ballot, please contact the Town Clerk at 719-884-8035 or lhogan@tomgov.org. To check the status of your voter registration, please visit www.govotecolorado.com and click on “Find My Voter Registration”. A polling center will be open at Town Hall from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Election day. In order to reduce the risk of exposure to COVID-19, the following measures will be implemented at the polling center: alcohol-based hand sanitizer containing at least 60% alcohol will be provided; surfaces, equipment and restrooms will be routinely cleaned and disinfected, and social distancing strategies will be encouraged
